Below are three recommendations to the CD sales company based on the significant trends that I found in the data set.
1. Maintain regular contact with customers
This can be done in several ways but the most effective is monthly email newsletters. These are known to increase customer awareness, inform your customers about new products and they also continually remind them of your company's presence throughout the year. This is one way to try to combat sales dropping off half way through the year because it will attempt to keep the momentum from the first half of the year going.
2. Maximize Christmas sales by having a strong seasonal advertising campaign
In the west, Christmas is the time of the year that people are most willing to buy more retail goods and also pay more for them. This should be your busiest time of the year. I was actually shocked to find out that it was one of your least busiest months! It is vital that your company spends more on advertising during this season, you are currently missing out on a huge sales opportunity.
3. Hold a January sale!
Again I was in disbelief over the amount of orders you received in January. Your company has got no excuse for having bad sales in January, you did not have a tremendous Christmas to fall back on. Your profits may go down if you do cut prices in this month but your sales will increase and more customers will become acquainted with your service.
Good implementation of these three recommendation should increase sales.
