maintenance of shopping cart
At eBuyer, when the user has found a product that he or she wants to purchase they have to place it in the virtual shopping cart. The product details along with the quantity of required are stored in the session record that was created previously.
The user is now able to search for more items and place them onto the same list in the session record. The diagram below shows this whole process very clearly.
On every page eBuyer allows the user to view what is in his/her cart. This is called the QuickCart. It can be turned on or off. When the end-user adds a item into the shopping basket, this is also updated immediately.
