Background to the functional specification...
Having investigated the context and the nature of the problem, I have been able to fully describe the problem itself and explain what the custom solution must do. I have also, to the best of my ability, specified measurable success criteria to assess the product against during the prototyping process and more importantly to use in my final evaluation for critically assess the final solution.
