Browser compatibility

I tested the eBook in the top three web browsers:

1. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
2. Mozilla Firefox 1.5
3. Opera 8.5

Below is a screen shot of the eportfolio index page in IE6:

The eBook works perfectly in IE6. Only problem that occurred was on all the pages that had a Macromedia Flash ActiveX plugin. IE6 automatically blocks all the active content incase any harmful code is embedded in it.

I then had to click on the information bar (shown above) and select allow active content for this site. The flash content was then shown correctly.

Mozilla Firefox 1.5

This browser displayed the eBook very well. There was no problems at all.

Opera 8.5

My eBook performed well in this browser also, no serious problems occurred.

Overall I am very happy with the results of this test. Because I adhered to the W3C Web standards, my eBook should work in any web browser on any operating system.

Resolution checks...

I then checked that all the content was viewable in the two following resolutions:

1. 1024 x 786
2. 1280 x 1024

The eBook looks great in both resolutions.
